El Paso — Julius Janko, age 79 died April 25th at home after a long battle with cancer compounded by other complications.
Mr. Janko is survived by a wife, Ute, two sons Andreas and Thomas. He also leaves behind multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Julius is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned the Meritorious service medal as an NCO. He grew up in nearby Hungary, the son of Andrew and Mary Janko. He served 2 tours in Vietnam and 1 tour in Korea. Throughout his life he worked diligently for his family. He will be missed by all that knew him and knew of his love, kindness, devotion, and goodwill.
Services and the internment will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on Wednesday the 21st at 10:30am.
