Joann was born on September 13, 1943 at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in West Hollywood California, and was a resident of San Diego from 1963 until her passing. A loving mother and wife, she worked at Jack Murphy/Qualcomm stadium for over 25 years, and relished in hobbies and interests upon her retirement.
Joann’s passions were innumerable, but she was most known for being an active and loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending as much time with her family and friends as possible. She will be remembered for her many stories of a long and fruitful life, and she will be sincerely missed.
Joann was preceded in death by her husband Ray E. Dell, her mother Dorothy Morrison, and her father George Devos. She is survived by her stepmother Beverly Devos, son David Maxmillian Dell, his wife Theresa Dell, former daughter-in-law Kandi Archibald, her grandchildren Sharalyn Dell, Jessica and husband Gregory Wariner, and Chelsea Dell, great-grandchildren Olivia Wariner and Zoe Wariner, lifelong friend Gloria Welch, and a host of other long-time friends.
Her wish was to be cremated, and the family has chosen to have a private memorial service in remembrance of her.
