Preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Sally (Lacock) Ziesche who passed away on November 6, 2016 his brothers Charles and Richard Ziesche and sister Florence Smith.
He is survived by his 4 children James (Linda) Ziesche, Charles (Barb) Ziesche, Shari (Pat) Jerman and Jeff (Kay) Ziesche; his beloved grandchildren James (Amy) Ziesche, Lee Ziesche, Maria Ziesche, Alli (Josh) Corbran, Elaina (Tony Marquez) Ziesche, Jake Ziesche and Austin Jerman; his 3 great-grandchildren, George, Anderson and Leandro. Also survived by his sister Ann Keeler, sister in-law Martha Riggs and many nieces and nephews.
Lynn attended Perry High School, was an Army Sergeant in the Korean War and worked at Golomb Glass / Columbia Architectural Metals for over 40 years as a General Manager & Vice President. He was a Mason in the Perry Ionic Lodge No. 796, Shriner, VFW member, McKnight Village Little League baseball coach and was active in Ross Community Presbyterian and McKnight Methodist churches. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Steelers and Pirates games, and working in his yard. But what he loved most was his family. He enjoyed spending time with them, along with friends and neighbors on the back porch or poolside, grilling food and having a beer at 320 Nichols; the annual Ziesche family beach vacations and the “Z & J” family canoe trips.
He bought the “Windy City “camp in 1972 so the Ziesches and Keelers had a place to go for deer hunting, but that place became more than a hunting camp. It was used by family and friends for weekends and parties. He let his neighbors, co-workers, the Boy Scouts, science club, and other groups use it. He and his buddies got together every year for Spring and Fall turkey and the family, and their friends enjoyed many buck and bear seasons together. He loved it there and when you talked with him about the “camp” and all the great times, it always made him smile.
He also enjoyed relaxing on the front deck or lawn swing of the “St. George” camp with his wife, kids and grandchildren watching the Allegheny River flow by and enjoying numerous snacks and a cold Miller High Life.
Lynn was a wonderful man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be laid to rest with his loving wife Sally. Military Honors will take place on May 28, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
