Phyllis Kerr, 91, of Lakewood, passed away Thursday, April 29 at Ocean Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, Phyllis lived most of her life in Baldwin Harbor, Long Island, with her husband of 66 years, Marvin.
Phyllis and Marvin moved to The Fairways in Lakewood in 1998, where she became active as a volunteer greeter and an avid mah jongg player. She assisted Marvin in planning many community trips to Atlantic City, as well as coordinating theatrical productions at The Fairways.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Marvin, her son Dr. Brian (Ruth) Kerr, two granddaughters, Debra (Benjamin) Meigs and Laura (Dr. Jeremy) Price, and two great-granddaughters, Matilda and Hattie Price.
A graveside funeral will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at B'nai Israel Memorial Park in Toms River. Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Congregation B'nai Israel Educational Endowment Fund.
