A Funeral Mass will be held for Helen Langley at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Helen was born on March 20, 1929 in Basile, LA and passed away on May 1, 2021 in Bossier City, LA. She was a bus driver for Bossier Parish Schools and she was influential in the lives of countless children through her daycare. She loved time with her grandchildren and was passionate about Children of Light group through her ministry. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church, but had appreciation for the beauty of all churches she visited.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessie C. Langley and three brothers.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Jessica Maddox and husband Rusty; grandchildren, Rusti Ann Martin and husband Lee and J.C. Maddox and wife Fran and great granddaughter, Ella Maddox as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Franklin, Steve Franklin, Tom Cathey, David Rechia and Deacon Jeff Chapman.
The family would like to thank Demetris Anderson, Ella Feaster, Latoicha Jones as well Louisiana Home Health and Christus Hospice for the comfort and care they provided.
