Carol was born in Oakland, California to Robert and Beatrice. In 1967, she married John Brooking and they raised their family in Hayward, California. After her husband’s retirement, Carol and John moved to Carson City Nevada in 2000. Besides spending time with family and friends, Carol and John spent many summers camping and fishing at Twin Lakes CA along with her sister & brother-in-law Jackie and Tom Bryant. Carol was a bingo enthusiast having played many years in the Bay Area and locally.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister & best friend Jackie Bryant who passed away on December 1, 2020.
She is survived by her husband John to whom she was married for 53 years, their sons Gene, Kenneth, and John Jr., daughter Patricia, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Carol Brooking will be missed by her family and friends.
Carol's services will be held at FitzHenry's Funeral Home on Saturday May 15th, 2021 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will be from 11:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at Walton's Carson Garden Cemetery 1281 N Roop St Carson City NV 89706.
