Sharon Hoke Westerfield was born on August 29, 1961, and passed away on May 7, 2021, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Westerfield, father, Clifton Hoke, and brother, Paul Hoke. She is survived by her sons Luke, Matthew, and Joey Westerfield, mother, Molly Hoke, and siblings, Andy (Elizabeth) Hoke and Michele (Kelly) Warnock. She is also survived by nieces, Mary Hoke (Weston) Hill, Kimberly (Shawn) Williamson, Kristen Westerfield, nephews, Drew Hoke, Curtis (Fallon) Westerfield, Jacob Westerfield, Jamie Strickland, David and Jonathan Warnock, mother-in-law, Linda Westerfield, brother-in-law, David (Denise) Westerfield, and sister-in-law, Lisa (Kevin) Davis. Her father-in-law, Arthur Westerfield, and brother-in-law, Michael Westerfield, also preceded her in death.
Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends. Faith played an integral part in her life, and she lived out her beliefs every day. She enjoyed helping people and looked forward to spending time each summer volunteering in El Salvador. Throughout the rest of the year, she spent her time as an associate of the Sisters of Mercy. Sharon’s profession as a chemical engineer brought her a great deal of satisfaction, but the greatest joys in her life came from her family. She will be remembered for her witty personality, kind heart, and gentle spirit.
