Jean C. Brownlie-Mueller, 88, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Jean was born in New York City, NY. She lived in Belleville, Parsippany and Hillsborough before moving to Whiting in 1986.
During her time in Whiting, Jean spent much of her time volunteering for the community. She most notably advocated for the visually impaired and handicapped in the Whiting Community, and was a dedicated member of Kiwanis International.
Jean was predeceased by her first husband of 53 years, William C. Brownlie, Jr. in 2005; her second husband, Charles A. Mueller in 2018; and her sister, Anne E. Pienitz. She is survived by her son, William C. Brownlie, III and his wife Su of Jacksonville, FL; 2 grandchildren, Kathlin W. Brownlie and Kevin W. Brownlie; and her niece, Eleanor A. Pienitz.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 11am to 12:30pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:30pm at the funeral home. Burial of Jean’s ashes will be held at Brig. Gen Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s memory to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Manchester Township, NJ.
