Jolene P. Pospisil, age 83, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. She was born September 4, 1937 in George West, Texas to Anton Jim and Prebble (Houston) Poncik. On December 29, 1956, Jolene married the love of her life, Dominic Pospisil, in Belton, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2017. Jolene retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 40+ years of dedicated service. She was a longtime active member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the church and doing arts and crafts; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Jolene is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Pospisil Morrison and her husband David; sons, Dennis and Thomas Pospisil; granddaughter, Cassidy Pospisil Anderson and her husband Roger; great grandson, Rome Jacob Anderson; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery (IH 35 North at Howard Lane). Graveside services will immediately follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jolene’s memory can be made to the food pantry ministry at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (https://st-ignatius.org/).
