Marilyn Mae Buelow, age 56, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday, May 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born January 11, 1965 in Lawton, OK to James William and Salena Faye (Dilbeck) Marks. She lived in Fort Smith most of her life. She worked at Fort Smith Service Finance for a while and then opened Children’s Corner consignment shop in Greenwood. After closing the shop, she continued with her most important job of Wife, Mother and Grammy. Marilyn loved to travel, especially taking cruises, which was proof by her platinum status; she enjoyed camping, hiking, cooking and tending her vegetable, flower and herb gardens. Marilyn never met a stranger 2 legged or 4 legged. She was a caring and compassionate person with a huge heart and many people and animals were recipients of her generosity. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, James and is survived by Michael, her loving husband of 22 years, her mother, Faye, daughter, Tiffany Johnson and her husband, Stacey, son, William Cooper and girlfriend, Nicole Barham, sisters, Bonnie Roberds, Minnie Gordon and husband, Ed and Kim Jones, brother, Billy Marks, 2 very special granddaughters, Falon Eagle and Emma Johnson and her beloved pets, George, Justice, and Henry as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
