Harry J. Boss

Mr. Harry J. Boss, age 90 of Hampton, Georgia passed away June 1, 2021. He was born in Grayson, Georgia to the late Phillip Otis and Florene Bennett Boss. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Gayle Boyd Boss and by a brother, Phil Boss. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Harry attended Georgia Tech and retired after 21 years with R.J. Reynolds, where he was a plant superintendent with over 250 employees responsible for machines and recipes for snack food. He also was instrumental in opening factories in foreign countries. Harry was a very caring person who loved to help others, go fishing and work in his yard. Survivors include his wife, Louise A. Boss; daughters, Bonnie Yates and Jeanine Matthews; sons, Ken (Faye) Dozier and David (Kimberly) Dozier; grandchildren, Al (Julie) Yates, Brent (Jodi) Yates, Ben Matthews, Tiffany Kelly, Justin (Ashley) Dozier, Amber Kuhlman, Sean (Courtney) Dozier, Cortney Dozier, Bethanie (Alex) Kelley, Leonard L. (Windy) Dozier, V, Patrick (Jodi) Braun, Kimmie (Michael) Ballou and Zach (Mary) Dozier; great grandchildren, John Wayne and Sarah Dozier, Naomi, Rebecca and Lydia Meyerholtz, Elias Kuhlman, Tabitha and Erin Dozier, Aria Chandler, Leo Dozier, VI, Ellie Dozier, Liam and Maverick Ballou, Cooper and Hadley Braun, Madison and Tanner Yates, Madison Thomas, Macie (Josh) Hensley; great-great grandson, Brooks Hensley; brothers, Dr. Larry (Jane) Boss and Tommy (Mona) Boss; sister in law, Charlene Boss. Friends may visit the family Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 - 3:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Stockbridge City Cemetery.
