He was born March 20, 1948, to the late Frank and Mable Anstett of Ontario, Canada.
Larry served in the Marine Corps for seven years and received several commendations for his sharpshooting abilities. Early in his public service career, Larry served as a Detective on the Barstow, CA. and Jacksonville, SC. Police Departments. In 1998, He entered the Private Security Industry and began his career as Managing Director of Corporate Security for Charles Schwab & Co., Incorporated. Larry received the Charles Schwab Presidential Award two years in a row. He was a member of several organizations to include the Florida Association of Chiefs of Police, served two years as President of the American Society for Industrial Security in Jacksonville, Florida. Larry also was a member of the Moose International Organization and The American Legion. Larry loved motorcycles and rode with the Iron Order Motorcycle Club, where he served as Business Manager and Vice President. Larry was also an avid golfer and received his blackbelt in Martial Arts at the age of 58.
Larry survived by his wife Alonn Anstett; his children, Cindy and Tina of Canada; Bree and Ryan Powell of Jacksonville, Florida; Kelly and David Parish of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren, Chelsea Parish of Jacksonville, Florida, McKenzie Parish of Jacksonville, Florida and Lincoln Boyce Powell of Jacksonville, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Piersyn Joshua Curran and Ryder Joshua Bach of Jacksonville, Florida. A sister, Wendy Anstett Nadeau. A brother, Robert Anstett.

Larry gave generously to several charities to include: The Wounded Warriors Project, St. Jude’s Hospital, the Orlando Rescue Mission, and the Salvation Army.
The family would like to acknowledge, Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida, for the loving care given to Larry during his illness.
The funeral services will commence at OakLawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida, at 2 pm on June 7, 2021.
