It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Friday announces his sudden passing on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at his home in Seine River First Nation.
He was born on November 16, 1955 in Atikokan, ON to Bud and Jesse Friday. He lived in Seine River First Nation all his life and frequently gave back to the community by helping his neighbours, running errands for community members and completing odd jobs. He worked for Kitowski Trucking for many years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and cheering on the Maple Leafs.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Feather Friday (Donovan Jourdain) and her children Daylia, Elys-Bou and iiylah Friday; daughter Espirit Friday and her children Breelyhn, Keynhi and Annavey Kewakundo; son Lantana Linklater-Friday (Cas); siblings Bernadette McIntryre, Katherine Friday, Dorothy Friday (Earl Klyne), Lorraine Friday, Louise Friday, Terry Friday (Candace Johnson) and Cheryl Friday as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Bud and Jesse; sisters Charlene, Patricia and Valerie Friday; stepdaughter Patrishah Linklater-Tom; brother-in-law Ron McIntryre; nieces Tanya Mainville and Hillary Johnson; nephew Ben Klyne.
A traditional wake will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3pm located at Seine River First Nation Gymnasium. A traditional funeral ceremony will be held in the morning of Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Seine River First Nation Gymnasium.
The pallbearers will be Lantana Linklater-Friday, Ron Friday, Jackson Bird, Charles Friday, Dan Friday and Peter Klyne.
