It is with great sadness that the family of Vincent Ralph Lombardi Sr. announces his passing on June 4, 2021. Vincent was born on November 19, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, the fifth child of Ralph and Amelia (Nucci) Lombardi. He is predeceased by his beloved siblings Ralph, Ann, Eleanor, John, and Gloria and his wife Catherine, the love of his life for 63 years.
He married Catherine Marcucci in 1957 and they lived in Brooklyn until 2001 when they moved to their new home in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Known as Vinny, Daddy, and Pop to his grandchildren, he will always be remembered for his patience, generosity, kindness towards friends and strangers alike, quiet demeanor, but most importantly, for his unconditional love, especially for the pride of his life, his grandchildren.
An avid classic movie buff, he preferred to stay at home cooking, barbequing, and playing cards or chess with whoever was sitting near him. Pop would always be eager to go crabbing or take a drive to Atlantic City to “play the slots.”
Vincent will be forever cherished and loved by his children Donna, husband Bob; Vincent, wife Aida; and their grandchildren Michael, wife Ali; Marlena, Vincent lll, Alessandra and Alexa. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and dear friends.
A dear friend said it best, “He always commanded a room in such an unassuming way.”
A prayer service and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
