Benjamin Earl Solomon, born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 3, 1949, to Ida and Leo Solomon. He spent his formative years in Tucson, prior to meeting Vicky, his bride of almost 43 years, and moving to Chandler where he established his family. Ben loved spending time with his wife Vicky, she was his everything, traveling to various National Parks throughout The United States and Canada and being with his family. Ben is survived by his beloved wife Vicky his sons, Adam Solomon, Alan (Jamie) Gavin and Eric (Jill) Gavin, and his five grandchildren, Austin, Chandler, Madison, Tatum and Brooklyn Gavin, all of who he adored. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Solomon and brother, Mark Solomon both that reside in California.
Ben was committed to his Jewish faith and an active member of Temple Beth Shalom of East Valley, where he developed many good friendships and donated much of his free time.
Ben loved sports and, until recently, the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he and Vicky were original franchise season ticket holders. He had an affinity for classic movies, television and music of many genres. Ben enjoyed a successful career with Axle Transmission of Arizona until his retirement in 2015.
