Sheila Dawn Lang, was an outstanding and remarkable human being during her time on earth, mother, grandmother, sister, mentor and friend. She left this world on May 22, 2021 at age 55 and leaves the following here to celebrate her life: her mother, Janet Marleen Anderson, Brother, Robert Anderson, son, Joshua Julian Montoya, daughters, Melissa Dawn Lang and Brittany Dawn Lang; grandchildren, Adrian, Ezekiel, and Vincent and a host of beloved friends
Sheila was born to Janet Marleen Anderson on December 13, 1965. After graduating from high school, Sheila worked for King Soopers in the Bakery making amazing cakes, She then worked for DR Horton being the most meticulous and successful employee. Nobody could do it like Sheila could. Sheila followed the dawn and the dusk with her love of traveling, her favorite place to travel was Roatan. Sheila was grounded in all the ways you could imagine which also led her to serve in the HawkQuest community, diving and photography. Sheila also had a passionate love affair with candy…boxes of it…everywhere.
Sheila loved spending time with her horses, creating delicious meals for her family (Sheila Tacos), laughing and listening to DAMN GOOD music!
Sheila was a comedian + life coach and didn’t even know it. To know her was to love her, learn from her and do life with her. Nurses loved Sheila for her humor and incredible wisdom and often joked that Sheila should go around the hospitals and do “SheilaTalks” instead of “TedTalks.”
We thought it would look different but we know that Sheila, however she exists at this current moment, is in her OASIS….”HiShe's Haven".
Sheila can never escape the meaning of her name, she will always rise and she will always shine. Some say (Matchbox 20 to be exact) that “She swears the moon don't hang quite as high as it used to” but with the world having the gift that Sheila was, the moon hangs much higher tonight.
A Memorial Service for Sheila will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, followed by a reception with family and friends.
