Pauline Ann Pellien (née Bennett), age 71, passed away after a brief battle with lung cancer on June 4, 2021. She is mourned deeply by her daughters, Jessica and Tamara, as well as her grandchildren Ryan, Lorelei, Abigail, and Megan, son-in-law Dan Graffius, brother Bruce Bennett, and sister-in-law Celeste. Born in Manchester, NH, Pauline traveled the world, living in Italy and Belgium before returning to build a life in Jackson, NJ. She was naturally curious, and it was unusual to find her far from a book or a new research project. She was an excellent mother and believed in the inherent goodness of people. She most loved to spend time with her family and will be remembered by her friends and neighbors as a brilliant, funny conversationalist. Retired from a career that spanned roles as a contracts negotiator with the US Navy and a claims examiner with Interstate Motor Carriers in Freehold, NJ, Pauline was also a certified master gardener.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St Joseph’s R.C. Church, Toms River, NJ on Wednesday, June 23 at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Pauline’s name to Camp Bernadette in Wolfeboro, NH. Pauline attended in the 1950s and 60s; her daughters in the 1980s and 90s; and now the baton has been passed to her granddaughters.
