Valerie Grace Roessel was born on September 3, 1982 in Chattanooga, TN. She was a creative soul. Specifically, she had a passion for creating any kind of art, music, baking, and (one of her all-time favorites) making diaper cakes. She also took great delight in being at the beach where she was likely to see dolphins, her favorite animal. Most importantly, Valerie loved her family and was ever so loved by her family. Which is why it is with immense grief that we announce her passing on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry Howington and Elizabeth Hauger; her maternal grandparents, Marvin Wigley and Clair Morris; and her beloved sister, Amanda Kay Thompson.
She is survived by her father, Thomas Howington(Shelley); and her mother, Jerri Rhodes(Steve); her husband, Scott Roessel; her beloved son, Landon Roessel; her sister, Cheyanne Harton(Jaclyn); amongst many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we would like to celebrate Valerie and the multitude of ways she has touched our lives with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
