Roberta Cattanach died unexpectedly but peacefully on June 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Boston on March 28, 1924, she was the youngest child of the late Ross and Frances Perry. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Ross and George. She graduated from North Quincy High School and went to work for American Airlines as a reservation agent. She met her future husband Don while working behind the ice cream counter of the country’s first Howard Johnson’s restaurant in Wollaston, MA. They corresponded throughout World War II while Don served in the Army Air Corp as a flight navigator.They were married in April of 1946 and spent 65 years together raising a family and traveling. They lived in Quincy where Bobbie was active in her church and Camp Fire Girls. They moved to the Cape in 1971 settling in the town of Dennis.They enjoyed many winters at Ocean Village on Hutchinson Island in Florida. Bobbie loved to swim and played competitive tennis until she turned 90. She then enjoyed playing pickle ball and bocce. She loved to laugh, entertain, read, knit, work on crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, garden and travel. She was a founding member of the Northside United Methodist Church in Brewster and helped to start the church’s thrift shop and Holly Fair. She cherished her many friends and family. Bobbie is survived by her daughters Jill Brennan and her husband Paul and by Jane Fleming and her partner Paul Spring. She was Nana to Robyn Crosby (Andy), Lyra Paciello (Louis), Ross Brennan (Melissa), Leah Lewis (Barry) and Lauryn Post (Justin). She was “Old Nana” to her great-grandchildren Matthew & Jared Crosby, Vinny & Frankie Paciello, Rhea, Madelyn and Michael Brennan, Presley Mae Lewis and Avery & Wyatt Post. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, her dear friend Jane Lynch and the Lynch family. We will treasure our memories and laugh through our tears as we remember her legacy. At her request we will have a celebration of life party later this summer.
