Born 4/13/33 in Bakersfield, CA to Annie Mae Graves & James L Gorum who both preceded her in death. She had many siblings most of who have also preceded her in death. She resided in many places growing up but settled in Memphis in 1958.
Virginia went home to her eternal resting place somewhat suddenly at 88 years old but was busy active and still working until the very end.
She was more than an amazing woman – a wife, grandmother to many more than her own. She was dedicated to God, hard working and creative. She loved jigsaw puzzles, animals (especially cats), and taking care of people. She was the peacemaker.
Virginia is survived by her husband William (Bill) Bouzines; her daughters Vickie Hayes (Michael) and Brenda Grant; her “like a daughter to her” sister in law, Judy Moore (Homer).
She is survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Collins (Bethanie), Penny Collins, Ginger Addison King (Scott), Amber Addison, Preston Grant (Ashley), Tabatha Grant, Amanda Grant; 16 great-grandchildren; and nephews Chris Moore(Theresa ) & Carey Vincent(Jeremy).
A visitation will occur Wednesday, 7/21/21 from 5 – 8 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122 901-761-8000.
