Amber was the first-born child to Edward and Robin Graves, born 11/25/1978, at Lemoore Naval Air Station in California, where her father was stationed. After her first year of life, they moved to Logan, Utah, where they stayed for two years. Then they moved to Whidbey Island, Washington and stayed there until she was five. At that point, they moved to Colorado, where they made their final home. Throughout those moves, Amber became big sister to four sisters and a brother.
When she was eight, she was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She participated in Girl Scouts from childhood throughout high school. She was a member of Honors Orchestra and played the violin for the Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra. She enjoyed playing softball and was a cheerleader for the little league football team.
Amber’s greatest pride and joy was her family. After dating Dave Kauble for 3 years, they married in May of 2004. She was excited to become a Mother in January 2007 to Jack Davidson Kauble, and again in May of 2008 to her daughter, Amee Elaine Kauble. She was incredibly proud of her children and enjoyed being involved in their school and sports and spent time as both President and Treasurer of the school’s PTCO. Her family loved traveling, exploring, hiking and camping together, playing card games, and creating art.
Amber showered her friends and family with unwavering love, support and compassion, and never hesitated to help, without judgement, whenever there was a need. She felt that every soul was important and listened intently to every story. The love for her nieces and nephews knew no bounds, and they all loved her dearly.
Music and dancing were some of Amber’s favorites, and she spent as much time as she could hiking and enjoying nature. She was an avid reader, and she had an incredible green thumb and treasured her plants. She loved cooking and trying new recipes and enjoyed sharing new creations and techniques. Her curiosity and zest for life kept her learning every day. She exemplified a life well-lived.
Amber is survived by her husband, Dave Kauble, and her two children, Jack (14) and Amee (13). She is also survived by her parents, Edward and Robin Graves, and siblings, Beth Arsenault (Aaron), Jenny Graves, Sandy Later (Clint), Todd Graves (Angela), and Cambria Graves. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by eleven nieces and nephews, with one on the way, as well as Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and many friends.
