John Harmon McCuiston

John was born in Nebraska to Helen Pearl and Denver Eugene McCuiston. He grew up and spent most of his life in Fort Collins, CO. He had two brothers and four sisters. John and his common law wife, Linda Ann Tafoya, with whom he had shared his life for more than 30 years, brought into the world two sons and four daughters.

John truly lived his life as a Colorado man. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also played in pool tournaments. He loved to sing and dance. More than anything in the world, John loved his family. He was a loving partner, a wonderful father, and a loyal friend. He was loved and he will be missed.

John was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim McCuiston, and sisters, Roxanne McCuiston and Roslie Campbell. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy and is survived by the love of his life, Linda Ann Tafoya; sons, KC McCuistion and Curtis McCuiston; daughters, Melissa Smith, Lorraine Ramirez, Antoinette Pulido, Deeana Chavez, and Virginia Tafoya; brother, Jack McCuiston; sisters, Bobbi Bay and Rogene “Genie” Castillo; grandchildren, Rachael Smith, Jill Smith, Brittany Segura, Samuel Segura, Cassandra Trejo, Domnick Trejo, Giovani Pulido, Ronnie Pulido, Sierra Hererra, Damien Cisneros, Efren Pulido, Marcos Chavez, Aiden Cisneros, Karina Cisneros, Star Borrego, and Ryder Borrego; and great-grandchildren Eliana Herrera, Khalani Saiz, and Augustine Pulido.

A Public Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00pm at Allnutt Drake Chapel in Fort Collins followed by a Funeral Service Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 2:30pm at Allnutt Drake Chapel, after which John was laid to eternal rest at Roselawn Cemetery. Following his Graveside Service, a Gathering of Family and Friends took place at The American Legion in Fort Collins from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
