William Ralph Gayneau, 57, died on August 25, 2021. Bill was born on October 3, 1963, in Cleveland Ohio, the son of Eileen Corrigan Gayneau and Ralph Gayneau, both deceased. He was the youngest of four children and is survived by his siblings James, Patricia, John, their spouses, and many nieces, nephews and cousins As a developmentally challenged baby, he was welcomed, loved, and supported by loving family and friends all throughout his childhood. He spent his later years in group homes, but was always an integral part of family life at home. He enjoyed family gatherings, holidays, and birthday celebrations. In his younger years he participated in the Special Olympics for basketball several times. He also loved working, particularly for Habitat for Humanity. These last few years of Billy’s life were a testament to the ability of the human spirit to endure despite unbearable challenges. His person and his spirit will be missed.
