Mrs. Connie Newnham, 74, of Kingsland, passed from this life surrounded by loved ones in Farmington, NM on August 25, 2021. She was born March 12, 1947 in Quanah, TX, to Thomas Jefferson Bigham and Emma Bentley. Connie worked several jobs during her lifetime as a real estate agent, bookkeeper, trophy maker, but her greatest job and life’s work was being the quintessential homemaker. She was a member of Highland Lakes Baptist Church in Kingsland, TX. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry D. Newnham whom she married on March 2, 1962; brother Tommy Bigham; sisters Juanita Trammel and Madie Fagan.
Survivors include: brother Bill Bigham and wife Terry of Amarillo; son Gary D Newnham and wife Tina of Seguin; son Terry W Newnham and wife Aubrey of Baltimore, MD; granddaughters Amber Gee and husband Ethan of Caldwell, Tiffany Finnex and husband Trey of Anahuac; Connie J Newnham of Anahuac; grandson Corey Newnham and wife Miranda of Cleveland and William Newnham and of Cleveland; granddaughter Marisa McDaniel and grandson Jacob McDaniel of Seguin and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Highland Lakes Baptist Church in Kingsland, TX on Friday September 3rd from 4pm – 7pm and a celebration of life will be held at Highland Lakes Baptist Church on September 4th at 10am with graveside service to follow at Bluffton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Hospital or ALS.org.
