With deepest sorrow and broken hearts, we announce that Misha Pauline Polk Havens, 41, of Texarkana, Texas, stepped peacefully into Heaven’s gates on September 5, 2021 with loved ones holding her hands and whispering prayers. She became a Christian at a young age and we rejoice that she is with Jesus now.
Misha was born on March 8, 1980 in Texarkana, Texas but as a military daughter (and later a military wife) she moved around the globe until returning to Texarkana in 2006 to be near her family.
She began a 13-year career at The Baptist Book Store where she made many lifelong friends and excelled at her job. Three years ago, Misha joined the team at Smith-Blair, Inc. where once again, she exceeded the expectations of her supervisors and took great pride in her job. Misha was always a loyal and faithful employee who could always be counted on to go above and beyond to get the job done. She loved her work family and they loved her.
Misha had the most joyful spirit and contagious smile along with a special gift for always finding the proverbial silver lining in any situation. You could only feel happiness and joy when you were in her presence. She loved to make people laugh and considered it her mission to spread cheer and positivity wherever she was. Misha was outgoing, funny, compassionate, and vivacious and was fiercely loyal to her family and friends.
Misha is survived by her husband, Earl Havens, step-children, Bradley and Fiona Havens, mother and step-father, Cindy and Larry Ford, father, Nate Polk, sister, Sarah Jirkovsky, maternal grandparents, Jan and Sam Griffin, paternal grandparents, Ann and Boyd Craig, uncles John Green and Bill Sommerfeldt and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
Misha also leaves behind a host of friends to cherish her memory but one special friend in particular who was her cruise buddy and more like a sister than a friend, Richanna Whitehead.
Misha was preceded in death by her uncle, Steve Green and maternal grandfather Robert J. Green.
She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her as evident in hundreds of social media posts, phone calls and messages. We, as her family, cherish them all.
When you think of Misha, celebrate the good memories you have of her and live your life to the fullest as we know, that would make her smile.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in her honor.
Due to the current Covid situation, no services are planned at this time.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.eastfuneralhomes.com for the Havens family.
