Cynthia was born on September 10, 1941 to Everett J. and Mary E. (Backus) Barrow. She spent her younger years in Fairhaven graduating from Fairhaven High School in 1959. She attended North Adams State College and worked as an elementary school teacher for many years. She continued her education receiving a Master’s degree and a certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies. Cindy completed her career as a speech language pathologist for the school department of Ware, MA.
In her retirement, she was involved in her alma mater of North Adams. She was a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox enthusiast. Her favorite pastime was her love of books and needlepoint.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick L. O’Brien and his wife Bonita of Elizabeth City, NC and Paul I. Kuliga of NH; three sisters, Patricia L. Barrow, Susan J. Davignon, and Maureen E. Barrow all of Fairhaven. Cindy also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Cullen, Erin and Regan O’Brien along with several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael W. O’Brien.
A Mass of Celebration will be held Friday October 1, 2021 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Parish, 74 Spring St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 274 Main St., Fairhaven.
