Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Guissepe and Angelina (Lepore) Rossi, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Americo proudly served in the United States Army.
He had worked as an inspector at Revere Copper and Brass in New Bedford until his retirement.
Skip was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Karen Toulan of Somerset, Robert Rossi and his wife Denise and Randall Rossi and his wife Carol of New Bedford; a sister, Betty Ribeiro of Tuscon, AZ; his grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Mark Rossi, Mallory Ring, Angela Rossi, Dean and Nicholas Toulan; his great-grandchildren, Nora, Vince and Luca Rossi, Brett and Grant Smith, Lincoln and Grayson Ring; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Rossi.
Private services are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037.
