Helen Lamot Zubalsky, 98, of Ocean, NJ passed peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 14th. She was born in The Bronx, then moved to NYC, raised her family in Teaneck, NJ, lived in Boynton Beach, Florida for 27 years, then on to the Jersey Shore where she had originally met her beloved husband Milton whom she was married to for almost 75 wonderful years.
Helen was predeceased by her son Donald Lamot and her adoring and dotting husband Milton. She loved a game of golf, tennis, amateur theater, musicals, movies, reading, entertaining, shopping, a late night game of Boggle or Scrabble and especially a good party. Both she and her husband’s singing filled the hearts of many.
Helen, AKA “The General” as she was know to many, is survived by her daughter Randi Gradone and her husband Tony of Ocean, her daughter-in-law Zane Zubalsky of Los Angeles, CA., four grandchildren and their spouses, Zack and August Zubalsky, Jared and Dianne Zubalsky, Danielle and Steve Reisler and Wes and Aly Gradone, and six great-grandchildren, Zach, Julia, Liv, Shay, Jack and Denzin. She adored her family near and far and they adored her.
A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19th. Following the service, shiva will be between 3:00 and 8:00 at the home of Randi and Tony Gradone.
Donations in Helen’s memory can be made to the MS Association of America or to the charity of your choice. Her final wish was for everyone to get along.
