June 18, 1942 to September 17, 2021.
Preceded by her remarkable parents Cleo and Juanita Moody, survived by two beloved sons, Earl W Fears Jr and Antony D Fears, three beloved grandchildren, Tarrah Fears, Antony Fears II and Ava Crossno. She had four stepchildren and their families she cared for deeply; David Wayne and Shelly Romans, Brenda Chauvin, John Michael and Dana Romans, Kristen and Randy Bullard. She loved them and their children as if they were her own. She treasured her family, children and grandchildren above all else.
Shirlie was a well known and respected businesswoman in Fort Smith Real Estate and Residential Home Building, along with a number of other enterprises. Her father, Cleo, and she were involved in building the first phases of the Fianna Hills and Village Harbor residential areas. She was the first female member of the Fort Smith Homebuilders Association.
Shirlie was a 24 year breast cancer survivor and a founding member of her cancer support group at the Reynolds Cancer Support Center. She dedicated much of her time to providing support and encouragement for cancer patients.
She was a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church and cherished her church family. Her delight in being able to participate in virtual services helped her through recent difficult times.
Shirlie’s smile, style and sassy spirit were her trademarks. She will be greatly missed. Knowing she is watching over us from above is great comfort.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
