Linda Smoker (Turtle Rattle Woman) – It is with deep sadness that we return a mother, a sister, an aunt, a grandmother and friend back to the earth so her spirit may embark on her next passage. On September 23, 2021, Linda left to the spirit world. Linda was born August 8, 1952 and was from Kahkewistahaw First Nation.
She was predeceased by her father John Agecoutay and mother Annabelle Brown, grandmothers Mary Agecoutay (Deegan) and Sara Jane Smoker (Horsefall), grandfathers Joe Agecoutay and Alfie Francis, as well as her brothers Eric Smoker and Bob Smoker, her soul partner William Lavallee and sons Vincent Lavallee and Jason Lavallee.
Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters Jessica Lavallee (Miranda, Wade, Tyrese and Ziaira) and Monica Lavallee and partner Darnell (Tevin, Josiah and Jacinta). Some of the grandchildren Raelynn (Sofia and Vienna), Summer (Isabell and Ezra), Jonathan.

The funeral service will be held in the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Complex on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with community Elder Alan Delorme officiating. Interment will be in Kahkewistahaw Cemetery, Kahkewistahaw First Nation. Kahkewistahaw First Nation is located 15 km north of Broadview, SK, along the 201 highway.
The family asks that young children not be in attendance.
