Lenn Goldstein was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 7th, 1951, to Dominick Genovese and Flora Moskowitz. Lenn was adopted and raised by his parents Melvin and Rose Goldstein in Forest Hills, Queens NY.
As a child Lenny learned equestrian riding and took too playing the piano. When Lenny was a young teen, he was invited and played the piano at Carnegie Hall. Lenny’s love for baseball started at an early age. He had fond memories with his father watching live games in their box seats at Yankee Stadium.
Lenny attended Forest Hills high school class of 1968. Lenny met his high school sweetheart, Jeanmarie Miraglia. They later married and spent over 40 years together. Lenny attended Queensboro College for business administration. Lenny worked for American Airlines as a ramp service agent for over 20 years.
On July 25th, 1978, Lenny and Jean gave birth to Jayson Michael Goldstein. Where the entire family spent most summers at the Silver Point Beach Club, visiting Coney Island and attending more Yankees games. The family enjoyed traveling and visiting Disney World, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Hawaii and places in between.
In 1993 Lenny and his family moved to Las Vegas where Lenny worked at Southwest Airlines, Opportunity Village but found his passion working with Special Need kids at the Clark County School District. Lenny worked there for over 10 years. Lenny, Jean and Jay enjoyed bowling together in their free time.
On June 1st, 2006, Jean passed away and Lenny lost his first love. Lenny was surrounded by his grandchildren and son to keep his spirits up.
A coworker Bonnie with the school district introduced Lenny to Patty. Their affection and love grew, and they were married August 4th, 2011. Lenny would say “How lucky of a man am I, to not only find true love once but to find it twice”.
In the later years, Lenny enjoyed watching NASCAR, golf tournaments, his Yankees and cheering on the NY Giants. Lenny and Patty traveled to many places together and enjoyed exploring places on the off-beaten paths. When not traveling they would watch the airplanes land and take off. Lenny swore all the planes were either coming or going to New York.
Lenny’s fondest moments were the little things in life. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and laughing over Sunday family dinners.
Lenny was preceded in his death by his grandparents, parents, Melvin and Rose Goldstein, his brother Glenn Goldstein, and his wife Jeanmarie. Lenny was survived by his sibling Jenifer Pollack, his wife Patty Goldstein, his son Jayson, daughter in law Charmaine, and stepdaughter Nicole and son in law Marc, and his 11 grandchildren, Daisha, Kirsten, Nicolas, Hanna, Alyssa, Jersey, Jason, Kevin, Johnny, Luke, and Gabe.
Lenny’s passion and his love for New York has internally bonded all those who have met him. To know Lenny was to Love Lenny. Lenny will be deeply missed.
A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 pm followed by the funeral service and graveyard burial on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, with Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery, at 7600 S. Eastern Ave Las Vegas, NV 89123. The visitation and repast are being held in honor of Lenny following the services with light food and refreshments.
