Joseph (Jerry) G Campisi, age 95 passed away October 3, 2021 in Santa Clara, CA. He was a native Californian born in San Jose, CA. Jerry was part of the Greatest Generation that went through the Great Depression and served in the Army during World War II in the Asian Theater. He grew up in San Jose and graduated San Jose High School. He retired after working 30 years at the San Jose Water Company in San Jose, California. Jerry had a creative side which he used in drafting, estimating, designing cabinetry, and drawing cartoons in his younger days, he played a skillful table tennis game with friends and family. He enjoyed memberships in the Italian and square-dancing clubs. Jerry was a member of Saint Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church for 62 years and also served as an usher and in the church men’s club in his younger years.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Shirley (Rose) Campisi, his daughter, Judith Hardin (Tony), his sons Gerald Campisi, Daniel (Andrea) Campisi, Lawrence (Debbie) Campisi and Steven (Maryann) Campisi. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mae Campisi, his siblings Benjamin (Glenna) Campisi, Virginia Campisi, Rose Campisi and Marie (Stuart) Higgins.
Jerry’s favorite thing was having all his family visiting and sharing time with him at home.
