Jeremy was born on April 2, 1982, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL to Beverly and Jerry Henrey. Jeremy graduated from Harlem High School in 2000 and attended some college classes at Kaplan University. He married his high school sweetheart Ashley Turnure on August 25, 2007 in Machesney Park Il. He was a sales manager for a local janitorial company.
Jeremy was a devoted father, husband, son, and brother. He was also a good friend to all who knew him. Jeremy was everyone’s computer tech and tax accountant. He followed in his dads’ footsteps of becoming a firefighter and motorcyclist. Though his firefighting was short lived due to back injury he was always proud he was able to take part in continuing his dad’s passion. Jeremy and Ashley took motorcycle trips whenever possible; it was how they enjoyed their time together. Ashley was Jeremy’s one true love; he couldn’t have imagined his life without her. Jeremy was actively involved with his children and his nephews. He made them all feel loved and cherished. Kayla was the apple of his eye and Jerry was the son he always dreamed of having. It meant the world to Jeremy to be able to have a son and carry on his father’s name. The two of them made him a proud father. Jeremy lost his dad when he was only 19 years old, he was very close to his mother through the years and was always there for her. Jeremy was the best little brother a sister could ask for and everyone’s protector. Jeremy loved traveling and driving to see new places. His favorite spot was the Ocean. Jeremy was also a foody of a sort, he traveled thousands of miles across the United States during his family vacations to try well known food items and restaurants. Many will be lost in the days and weeks to come as we learn to navigate this world without him. He was the life of the party, an adventurer, and his loved one’s biggest cheerleader, how he will be missed.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Beverly(Andy)Newhausen, his wife, Ashley Henrey, his children, Kayla and Jerry Henrey, his sister, Tracy(Jon) Fraser , his stepsister, Breanna(Michael) Bird, his grandfather, Orville Henrey, Sisters in Law, Lucky Turnure(boyfriend Jared) and Brenda (Thomas) Hopper, Brothers in Law Thomas(Amanda) Turnure and Brandon Turnure.
