Growing up in Morrison Bluff on a farm Ed knew hard work at an early age. Working in the fields, milking cows and gardening were everyday chores. This prepared him for future success as he strove to succeed in his activities.
The Weisenfels family moved to Fort Smith and Ed graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in 1954. He joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Polk, LA and Fort Knox, Kentucky. After serving and along the way he met Rosemary and they where married August 11, 1962.
He worked in various factories in Fort Smith and wanting to better his education he attended the University of Arkansas Fayetteville and graduated with a degree in Business in 1970. He owned a pallet company “STAMPCO” in Fort Smith for many years that was very successful until he retired.
He was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus in Fort Smith, Kiwanis and Focus in Greenwood. He loved quail hunting, fishing, golfing, and camping with his family.
After retirement he enjoyed working on his 20 acres raising cattle, gardening, traveling and enjoying his grandkids. After losing Rosemary in 2004 he got very involved in the Kiwanis where he rekindled a church friendship with Dorothy. They where married on May 5, 2007 and enjoyed many years together traveling and just loving each other.
