David was born on March 16, 1937 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Albert Hackett Ensor and Doris Alberta Edson.
David was the younger brother to Jane Ensor McIntosh and older brother to Barbara Ensor Goodwin, Ruth Verder, Gary Verder, Elizabeth Ensor Garcia, Kathy Ensor Ahrens, Nancy Ensor Smith and Michael Ensor.
On June 24, 1958, David married Sara Norton Wetherbee and together they raised 3 daughters; Karen Jean Ensor Graham, Sharon Lynne Ensor Rowe and Sandra Joy Ensor.
David enlisted in the United States Airforce where he received the rank of Airman 1st Class in the 1950's. David worked for many companies over the years, ultimately, retiring as a quality assurance and regulatory affairs manager for Johnson & Johnson Corporation.
He lived in Massachusetts, Illinois, Indiana, California and Colorado through his working years. He eventually retired in Colorado after having visiting all but two states in the USA.
David was loved and respected for his quick wit, frank honesty and hard work. He always offered a helping hand whether it was with vehicles, home projects or just common sense advice. He always protected and helped his family and friends.
David is survived by his wife Sara, daughters, Karen, Sharon, and Sandy, his sisters Jane McIntosh and Barbara Goodwin and brothers Gary and Michael, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many friends.
We know he and Uncle John Wetherbee are canoeing the rivers in heaven. Whether the rivers are frozen or not, they are having a lot of fun!
Services for David will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:30pm at Olinger Mt. Lindo Cemetery in Morrison, CO.
