Evelyn was born to Clarence and Eloise Cook on September 1, 1942, the first child born to them. She soon had two adoring brothers, Jimmy and Gerald, with whom she would remain close to her entire life. Evelyn was very intelligent, making good grades in school and working in the insurance industry when it was uncommon for women to be in the workforce. She enjoyed reading, bird-watching, animals of all kinds and meeting new people. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children Michael, Craig, and Amy Demoulin; a daughter-in-law, Milissa Demoulin; grandchildren, Wesley Shoemaker, Sean and Savanna Demoulin; brothers, Jimmy and Gerald Cook; sisters-in-laws, Ricky and Linda Cook; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Eloise Cook; her parents-in-law, Hubert and Eva Demoulin; her ex-husband and subsequent best friend, James Demoulin; sisters-in-law, Lois Graves; brothers-in-law, Bobby Michel, Lester Graves, and Lester LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Cook, Lisa Cates, Jennifer Cook, Brian Landry, and Jason Cates.
