Abel was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and was educated in San Antonio, Texas, at St Benedict's Catholic School, and Central Catholic High School. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business.
At the time of his passing, he was part of the Prospera Financial Company and had been with the company for 28 years; rising through the ranks from Accounting Manager to Chief Compliance Officer.
Abel loved music, art, and business, and was accomplished in all three. He was a voracious reader on all topics, but always loved books about creating a burgeoning business.
A Viewing, Reception and Rosary Service will be held on Thursday, October 14, from 6 to 8 pm , at the Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, with the Rosary beginning at 7pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Corpus Christi, TX, a date yet to be set.
He is survived by a Daughter, Mother, Brother and Sister, and extended family and friends.
