Yvonnie Thomas Adcock, age 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. She was born February 15, 1937 in Grundy, VA to the later Walter and Love Chambers Thomas Mullins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, George Adcock, Sr.; sons, Johnny and James Clevinger; and grandson, Billy Clevinger.
Yvonnie worked for over 30 years and retired form what is now B.E. Aerospace. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a lifelong member of Shattalon Church of Christ and a proud member of Ladies Serving Christ. She loved her family and especially loved her time spent traveling with them. Her inviting and charming presence will deeply be missed.
Those left to cherish her memories include one son, Tony Clevinger and his wife Deborah of Rural Hall, NC; one daughter, Lita Chambers of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Stacy Shubert, Krystal Clevinger, Katherine Olsen, Angel (Chante) Black, Amber (Darius) Fisher, Karen Clevinger, Dominic Clevinger, Tommy Clevinger, Wes Clevinger, Brian Clevinger, Evan Clevinger, and Emily Clevinger; six grandchildren; two sisters, Wauetta Utta of Nashville, TN and Juanita Valdez of Medford, OR; and many other loved ones.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Ocotber 20, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Shattalon Church of Christ located at 5490 Shattalon Drive Winston-Salem, NC conducted by Pastor Gene Woolard. The family ask in remembrance of Yvonnie “Bonnie” Adcock to wear her favorite color pink but it is not required.
