Born in Brooklyn to Michael and Yetta Bergman. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickerson University and spent time serving his country in the National Guard and also worked for many years as a comptroller.
He enjoyed watching sports, sudoku and crossword puzzles, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Rosemarie “Cookie” Bergman, his brother Jerome Bergman, his children Michele DiVivo, Allan Bergman and his wife Lisa, and Lori Djamoos, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Sheryl P. and husband Justin, Jessica, Amanda T. and husband Joe, Samantha D., Casey B., Jason B., Owen P., Grace P., and Lily R..
