Rich (Rick) Vincent Hall was born on May 16th, 1967 and is preceded in death by his father Jerry Hall and his niece Tayloré Elizabeth Hall. Beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend and partner, Rick passed away Saturday, November 6th while spending an evening with his mother, Lizabeth Sue Hall. Rick was a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School (85). He was employed by Bank OZK and worked as their HR/Staffing associate. A faithful member of the Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, Rick loved serving the church and regularly read the liturgy, one of his favorite ways to serve. He was generous with his time and volunteered with many service organizations including the American Heart Association, Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassador program (serving as chair in 2015) and Friendly Chapel.
Rick loved life, there was not much he would not try, (including skydiving on his 40th birthday). Whether it was dancing, traveling, cooking, or spoiling his family and friends, that passion spilled over into to everything he did. No one gave a better hug than Rick, it was his signature greeting. Everyone will tell you Rick’s laugh and his smile were infectious.
He treasured his nieces and nephews and never missed a chance to spoil them. Aside from family there were many people Rick cherished. He loved Belle and Jones McKelvey, his “core four” tribe Dennis McKelvey (Erin), Kimberly Shaw and Bobby Harris, his lifelong Park Avenue friend Kayla Winters Phillips, Larry West, Jr., Michael Smothers, Brian Hieber, Karla Sloan, and Marissa Willis.
Rick is survived by his mother Lizbeth Sue Hall, Sherwood, AR; Sisters Amanda Hall McGennis and her husband Bob McGennis, Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia Hall Stark and her husband William Andy Stark, Little Rock, AR; his brother James Preston Hall and his wife Lisa Pinkston; North Little Rock, AR ; Niece Celeste Lacy, Pearsall, TX; nephew Lt Cmdr. Calvin Andrew Stark and his wife Danna Jo Stark, Hanford, CA; nephew Jacob Preston Hall, North Little Rock, AR, great nephew William Joshua Stark and numerous friends.
Our lives are forever touched by Rick’s love.
The church will open at noon prior to the service on 11/13 to receive flowers.
