Mr. Corino retired from the US Army after 25 years of service. In that time he earned many achievements and medals including, Bronze Star Medal with Valor, Air Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with six campaign stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with palm, Republic of Vietnam Silver Star, Army Commendation Medal 3D OLC, Expert Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, 1965 Battled Field Commission, Commander of Post 88 three times and District Commander for the American Legion.
He was a member of the Ranger Department, 101st Airborne, VFW and American Legion.
His family was most important to him, to date they enjoyed 45 cruises together.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Corino Sr. and Catherine Krauss Corino; siblings Jacqueline, David, Richard, Peter, Angela, Frances and Donald; grandchildren Tabitha Smith and Daniel Clem.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Helen Edwards Corino; children Donna Corino, William (Julie) Corino, Angela (Michael) Butine and Tina Corino, Grandchildren Misty (Beau) Houk, Tiffany (Richard) McMurry, Coey Pendleton, Jennie (Joseph) Cook, Ashley (Andrew) Dacosta, Samantha Corino, Brittany Clem, Christopher Pendleton, John Hutchinson; great grandchildren, Kane, Aubrey, Lila, Kadyn, Kayli, Gauge, Braelynn, Abby, Bryson, Allyson, Cameron, Remy, Gabby and Haley; sisters Theresa and Mary Ann.
Gathering of Family and Friends Sunday November 21, 2021 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home and on Monday November 22, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am also at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 am in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. Entombment following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
