Ingeborg “Inge” Ellmann Richard, 92, of Houston, Texas passed away, Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Memorial Hermann Hospital Katy. She was born in Munich Germany on April 22, 1929, to Hermine and Joseph Ellmann. She had one sister and was a half-sister to four other siblings, two more sisters and two brothers.
She grew up during a time of war and lived through air raids, bombings, and food rationing from age 10 until she was 16 years old, but living through that she developed a great compassion for people which lead her to become a nurse. At the end or the Korean War, she met her husband Joseph “Joe” Richard, and they were married in Munich Germany on December 9, 1954. He brought her back to America to be his wife for 66 years. She became a US citizen and here they lived and raised their two children, residing in California and Arkansas but to live most of her life in Texas. She loved and missed her homeland and visited Germany often. She loved to sing and yodel, play bingo, swim, tend to her garden and she had a great passion for drawing. She was always there to help others, spread her kindness, and showed great compassion for people and animals. She loved people and loved to talk to everyone. She was always happy and had a grace about her that inspired people and she could lift their energy and spirit with her smile. You were an Angel to us all. You are now with the ones you love in Heaven forever!
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Richard, and son Russell Richard. She died of a broken heart for her husband who passed only three months before her and she passed on the same day her son died six years ago.
