Mattie Elizabeth Coley, age 89, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021. Mattie was born April 3, 1932, in Kilmichael, Mississippi, to Fisher Mattie Coley and Cora Lee Hester Coley.
Elizabeth was an animal lover. She was a very determined lady, who worked hard. She loved her family, church, church family, and pastor. She will be missed.
She is survived by her brother, James Larry Coley; sister, Alma Lee Blanton; sister-in-law, Dee Coley; several nieces and nephews; and Tiger and Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jimmy Coley and Charles Coley.
All services will be held on Friday, November 19, at Memphis Funeral Home - Poplar Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM. The entombment will be private, in Memphis Memory Gardens.
