Stephen Alan “Steve” Bline, age 70, of Holly Springs, MS, went to be with the Lord at 10:26 AM on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Memphis VA Medical Center. Steve was born on December 4, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Charles and Thelma (Weir) Bline.
On December 20, 1975, Steve married Judy Taylor. Along with Judy, he is survived by his son, Jacob “Jake” Bline, stepson Richard Allen Keeling, and grandson, Ryder Bline, all of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Also surviving are sisters, Jennie (Kim) Holsapple of Toledo, IL, Kathy Bline of Charleston, IL, and Lisa (Clay) Johnson of Bloomington, IL, Aunt, Grace Bline Bailey of LaPorte, IN, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, William “Bill” Bline and Charles “Chuck” Bline Jr.
Steve was a 1969 graduate of Casey High School and attended Lakeland College to study civil engineering. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam war as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He was the owner of Custom Architectural Concrete where he created many artistic designs for buildings in the Memphis, Tennessee area. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed the springtime when he could go mushroom hunting. He was an avid NASCAR fan and rooted for the Chicago Cubs.
Steve was a generous man, a captivating storyteller and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family very much.
A celebration of life with full military honors will be held at a future date in his hometown of Casey, IL.
