Ken will always be loved and remembered by Bette, his wife of 62 years and his family — son, Ken (Debbie) and daughter Lynne (Mike) and the “sparkle in his eyes” his grandson Spencer.
Ken was born in Daysland Alberta and started his adventure to BC as a young man in 1945. He attended UBC, met Bette and was married in 1948. Ken lived his life for his family, friends and his love for sports. Whatever he did, he did with full dedication, pride and joy. While working for Chevron for 39 years he found the time to enjoy the sports he loved with his family. Coaching hockey at all levels at the North Shore Winter Club (NSWC) and finding time to curl in the winter and golf in the summer. While living on the North Shore for 43 years, he just didn’t stop at the front line of his passion. He was involved with the development, coaching and management of Minor Hockey, Junior B hockey. He was a Past President of the Masters Curlers at the NSWC, and Secretary Treasure of the Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association.
When Ken and Bette moved to Langley in 1993. where “true to form” he just didn’t play golf but was a Past President and honorary member of Poppy Estates Men’s Golf Club.
