BAILEY, Helen (Fisher) in Bourne formerly of Quincy. March 1, 2010. At the age of 105 years. Mrs. Bailey passed away at the Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bourne. Born in Falmouth, she was the 4th of 10 children and the last survivor. Helen was a graduate of Bourne High School class of 1921. In the 1930’s she moved to the Somerville area where she meet her husband and were married in 1934. After her marriage she and her husband moved to Wollaston, where they lived until she moved to the Cape in 2008. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Putnam Investments for many years before retiring. Most Important to Helen was her church, the Quincy Community United Methodist Church, where she was active in many of the church committees, groups and activities. Helen was also honored by the Rural Masonic Lodge at her 103rd Birthday party for being the oldest living widow of a lodge member. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Albert M. Bailey. She is survived by mny loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, great great grandnieces and great great grandnephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Quincy Community United Methodist Church 40 Beale Street WOLLASTON on Friday March 5th at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours have be omitted. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Helen’s memory to the Memorial Fund of Quincy Community United Methodist Church 40 Beale Street Quincy, MA 02170 or to a charity of your choice. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery Quincy.
