Michael went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2010. He was born January 22, 1947 in Seattle to Cherry Gilmour Early and James Rowan Early, both now deceased.
Michael is survived by his loving wife Jill, son Jeff, daughter-in-law Kari, and beloved dogs Ziggy and Marley. His sister, Janice Early Corcoran resides in Martinez, CA with her two children, Brad and Casey. Also survived by his uncle and aunt, Jay and Carol Gilmour of Mercer Island, WA.
Together Mike and Jill enjoyed traveling with their dear friends and family, relaxing on the deck of their Whidbey Island cabin with their two dogs, and visiting their son and daughter-in-law in McKinney, Texas. Mike “Radio Voice” Early also loved biking, golfing, skiing, music, and uncontrollable belly laughs.
Michael graduated from Lower Merion High School near Philadelphia, PA in 1965. He became a proud Sooner and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1969 where he was a member of Sigma Chi.
His Naval ROTC training at UO led to a Commission as Lieutenant in the USNR. His first appointment was related to the launch of the USS Blue Ridge resulting in his becoming a Plank Owner in the ship. On the trip around Cape Horn to a home base in San Diego, Michael and the ship’s dentist became golfing friends. Michael’s interest in dentistry was triggered; he graduated from Seattle University with a Masters in Science after discharge from the Navy. He then enrolled at the University of Washington Dental School, graduating in 1982.
