Macon, GA – James Walter Addison, age 68, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville at 1:00 PM. The family will meet friends from 7 – 9 PM on Thursday at the funeral and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to InTouch, P.O. Mr. Addison was born in 1941 to David F. Addison and the late Doris Weed Addison. He had lived in Macon since he was nine years old, and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Addison was retired from Robins Air Force Base in the gyro shop after ten years of service. He then opened Addison’s Cabinet Shop and after retiring from that he went to work for the Eckerd Corporation. He was a former member of the Disabled American Veterans and an avid baseball fan. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Donald Addison.
He is survived by his wife, Edna A. Addison of Macon; a daughter and son-in-law, Edna V. and Scott G. Calarco of Macon; his father, David F. Addison of Macon; five sisters, Jackie (Jim) Roundtree of Atlanta, Debra Banks of Macon, Martha (Julius) Bruce of Winter Haven, FL, Pat Stanfield (Jesse) of Winter Haven, FL., and Mary Ann (Bryan) Snider of Forsyth; three brothers, Davy A. (Barbara) Addison, Johnny F. Addison, both of Macon and Richard (Jean) West of Auburndale, FL.
