Andrade was a modest woman, quiet and observant in her ways. She was trustworthy and traditional in her approach to her life and in her relationships. She was tough-minded with the kind of “stick to it” attitude that earned the respect of all who knew her. She was also a woman who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything she undertook. Realistic about life, she was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Juana was born on July 2, 1946 at in her home in Charo, Michoacan, Mexico. She was the daughter of Jesus Andrade & Paula Castolo. Juana grew up in Mexico City.
Juana was raised with 8 brothers and 7 sisters. She had an older brother Jesus, Manuel, Florentino, Daniel, Salvador, Isabel, Leopoldo, Margarita, Carlos, Astreberto, Salvador, Florentino, Tomas, Estela & Aurora. Juana was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Juana had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Juana was an active child who took part in volleyball. She was a church member. In her spare time she liked embroidering and sewing. However, to Juana, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Juana enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, some of her best friends were Estela Solis and Ramona Paz along with Yolanda Jaramillo. Later in life, she became friends with Edelmira and Dalila.
Empathic and loyal, Juana was committed to making her new family happy.
Juana worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Juana was blessed with seven children, two sons, Enrique and Roberto, and five daughters, Estela, Margarita, Olga, Maribel & Leticia. Another blessing for Juana was the gift of 12 grandchildren, Juana, Michelle, Armando, Jennifer, Oscar, Francisco, Hugo Jr., Oscar, Fernanda, Geovanny, Yaire, Johnathan & Joshua.
Fortunately, Juana enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Juana worked diligently and did her best to succeed. Her primary occupation was homemaker. She was employed for 30 years of work for different companies. Juana always sought to do what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Juana enjoyed spending time with her husband of 18 years, Trancito Ortiz. She also enjoyed taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were gambling and was a lottery fan. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Juana was a woman who took pride in upholding her beliefs. So it is little wonder that she took an active role in her community, serving on committees for the church. Politically, Juana took interest in Mexican political groups.
Juana’s faith was important to her. She was a member of Sagrado Corazon De Jesus in Pomona for 20 years.
Juana enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Las Vegas, Nevada.
Juana was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Dulce, a parrot. They were best friends for two years.
Juana passed away on June 24, 2010 at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Heart attack. She is survived by her husband, mother, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and many other family members. Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fontana, Ca. Juana was laid to rest in Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, Ca.
Simply stated, Juana was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Juana leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Juana Andrade.
