Evert H. Aultman died Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Grace Point Continuing Care in Greeley. He was born November 9, 1928 in Longmont, Colorado to Merl H. and Myrtle M. (Hayhurst) Aultman. He was raised in Colorado and Oklahoma.
Evert served in the U.S. Army. During his twenty-one year service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal 4th Award, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars and the Army Commendation Medal with 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster. Evert retired from the U.S. Army on September 30, 1968.
On June 29, 1969 Evert married Patricia Griffin in Longmont, Colorado.
Evert worked for Loloff Construction and Webster Feed Lot in Weld County.
Evert loved fishing and especially loved fishing with his grandchildren. Evert enjoyed gardening and maintaining his yard. He also enjoyed time with family and friends.
Evert is survived by daughters Carol Ann Korgan, Monica Rivera and Evelyn Venezuela; son Richard B. Duncan and wife Katy; sisters Ellen Derenburger, Colleen Feathers and Merleen Bartosh; brothers Oscar Whitman and wife Julie, John Whitman and Jim Aultman; 7 grandchildren, Nathan Korgan, Nova Korgan, Sarah Korgan, Levi Korgan, Casey Korgan, Michael Aultman and Paul Venezuela; great-grandchildren Araya, Kynston, Aiden, Julius, Kamia, Jordan Amaris, Britany and Paula.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia; sisters Mary Lois Faucet and Lulu Holmes.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
